Kyle Seeback, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, met with several members of Town of Caledon Council at his constituency office, located in Orangeville, on February 12, 2020.
“One of my campaign promises last fall was to meet annually with all of the councils of the nine municipalities which comprise Dufferin-Caledon, to ensure they have opportunities to directly share any federal issues they may have with me,” said Mr. Seeback. “I’m pleased to be delivering on this promise by having the first of these meetings with Caledon council today. I look forward to meeting with the other eight councils between now and the end of the year.”
During the meeting with members of Caledon council, several issues were raised ranging from rural broadband, telecommunication towers, the Dairy Farm Investment Program, infrastructure, affordable housing for seniors, to rail crossings and rail bridges.
“I will be following up on the various issues raised by Mayor Thompson and the members of Council I met with today upon my return to Ottawa,” said Mr. Seeback. “Several of the issues we discussed are shared with other municipalities within my riding, as I heard firsthand at my town hall meeting in Shelburne last month. I’m committed to being a strong voice to ensure the current federal government is always aware of the important issues impacting the residents of Dufferin-Caledon and to use every tool at my disposal to compel the government to take action.”
